Blog Update

Sorry for the delay on book reviews! I'm going to put up two short reviews of short books in the next couple of days, and then I'll be working on having a nice buffer of reviews set up so updates happen more regularly. Here's a list of the book reviews coming up:

  • Once Upon a Time in the North, Philip Pullman
  • Odd and the Frost Giants, Neil Gaiman
  • Incarceron, Catherine Fisher
  • The Book Thief, Markus Zusak

What should I review after that? Any suggestions?

You have reviews of some excellent books coming up. Suggestions for new ones: The "Outlander" Series by Diana Gabaldon. Historical fiction, small sci-fi twist, moderate bodice ripper but I enjoy the take on history and plenty of plot to overcome the romance. The "Wheel of Time" series. I haven't read it yet but I hear good things. "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" I have yet to find someone who hasn't enjoyed this. Nonfiction but even my fiction only friends were sucked in. "Uglies" (first of a YA series) I think you may have read this already but if not it's worth your time and would make a good review. Ok, your turn...what should I read?

Thanks for the tips! I’m not sure if I can suggest anything you haven’t read already. If you’re in the mood for some kind-of-zany YA fiction that reminds me of Roald Dahl or The Phantom Tollbooth, you could give Alex and the Ironic Gentleman a try.
